Love One Another

If we truly love someone then we will want to serve them, with our whole heart and soul. We wont care what others think. Even if it means others laugh, judge, or criticize us for how we do things.

Shane and Hazel

Hello family and friends,
it's been almost 2 months since I gave out an update. Shane has been doing increasingly well. His doctors are amazed at how fast his recovery is going. He no longer has the blood clot but in order to take the necessary precautions he is taking Lovenox, an anticoagulant or better known as a blood thinner.

I'm so proud of Shane. No matter how badly injured he is, it won't stop him from anything he puts his mind to. As some of you may know, Shane was restricted from bearing weight on his left leg for 3 months. This was in July. Shane being strong headed decided he was going to start walking. He still can't run and he walks a bit slower but he is working on his walking. There are times when he just needs a rest. His left femur has healed wonderfully. But his knee remains the source of his pain.

As for Shane's hand, he is missing all but one of his knuckles. Shane has been working with his hand and he can now pick up things with his fingers. His grip is pretty strong regardless. Shane still has many hand and knee surgeries.

Shane and I returned home to Hawaii last week Tuesday. Shane has had appointments all week. I had the blessed job of cleaning the house. It was so wonderful coming back home. My family was there waiting at the gate along with Shane's 1-14 Golden dragons and the Warrior Transition Brigade.

The kids have grown up! Laela's hair has grown so long and Wyatt talks like a grown up. They all ask a million questions and Wyatt likes to throw us some big words every now and then. Shane Jr. is not only walking but he is also running around and getting into everything. I'm so proud of my little family. God has blessed me so much.

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers. You have no idea what they mean to us. Remember, sometimes, no news is good news.

God Bless,
Hazel
