Hello Everyone,
I wish this email was bringing good news but unfortunately Shane's condition has worsened today. Prayer warriors it is time to burn the midnight oil and fight with spiritual warfare!
As you know from my last update, Shane has pneumonia in both lungs. His breathing became so labored they feared he would go into respiratory failure so the doctors intubated him. He is 100% on a breathing machine. My Dad and I saw the CT scan of his lungs and they are sadly shocking. Both lungs are full of infection, pus, fluid. I just now learned that the infection has moved to his left eye, even though the spots are small on his eye, they are there. The doctors said that Shane is already getting the antibiotics to fight the infection that has shown up on his eye, but they are closely monitoring the infection in his left eye. He is being monitored very closely in ICU; the docs and nurses are taking extraordinary care of him.
They had to restrain Shane's hands to the bed and when he arouses, he fights because of the restraints and the tube down his throat. They are keeping him very sedated for the next 24 hours so his body can rest now that the ventilator is breathing for him. The docs are hoping that within the next 24-48 hours the antibiotics will work well enough to take him off the ventilator. The next 24-48 hours are very important to his recovery. The doctor told me that the next two days will tell us if Shane is going to get worse or pull out of this setback.
I am praying and reading scripture over him because I know God's Word is powerful and effective to fight any battle we face.
Thank you for praying for the Daggett family today. Kyle's funeral was beautiful beyond words and his family is so precious. I am so grateful that Shane was one of Kyle's men. I am truly grateful for Kyle's heroism and that of his loving family. Kyle will forever be remembered and loved.
Love to all,
--
Debbie
Here are scriptures of healing for you to use in your prayer. If you have one you like please add it to my comment section.
Luke 18:1 (AMP)
Luke 18 1ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).
James 5:14-15 (AMP)
14Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord's name.
15And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Matthew 17:19-20 (AMP)
19Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked privately, Why could we not drive it out?
20He said to them, Because of the littleness of your faith [that is, your lack of firmly relying trust]. For truly I say to you, if you have faith that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
