Upcycled Light Fixture

I really needed more light in my craft room, but I am trying to save money and find some unique to put in there.. A friend of mine had given this to me more my daughters room, but we put a fan and light combo in her room. I am pretty sure she will not mind that I used it in craft room instead.. I still want to add some bling but for now here it is...
All I did is paper and taped off the "candle" lights section...and the chain (chain doesn't do well being spray painted..) If you want you could make a fabric tube to slip over it to cover up the chain... I spray painted it with white primer first, for several reasons most importantly is so that the paint sticks.. Then I sprayed my lime green color..

New Restaurants We have tried...

Cinco Ranchos is in the shopping strip with Times Square Bowling Alley on Grand Parkway in Katy.. They use Angus beef and skinless chicken breast... Me and my family liked the food.. Yes, even I did and I don't like Mexican food.. Oh and before I forget the stuff was awesome as well... I have to admit I didn't feel gross after eating at this restaurant... They are new so go and check them out..

My goal today on our outing was to eat at Bob's Taco stand, but it was not possible to do so. Instead we went to a BBQ place and to tell you the truth I am very glad. If you are ever in Rosenberg stop by and try it out...

Learning to be aware!

Yesterday I took a self defense coarse that was awesome... I learned so much I didn't know... I knew 2 or 3 things but mostly didn't know.. I think they should change the name to an awareness class.. Being aware is the first step to not needing to know how to protect yourself... I didn't have any clue how sore I was going to be.. Boy does my body hurt! I can barely lift my arms up, touching them hurts, my abdominal muscles even hurts and more.. I am so glad I went and I will take the pain for all the knowledge I learned...

So busy...

I have been so busy lately.. I have actually been stuff done...I have made laundry soap, fabric softener, 2 different dishwasher soap (the 1st one I didn't like), made several bags for people, working a quilt for a baby shower, running errands, kung fu, bible study and so much more...

Look what I made... Way simple..

I actually made Homemade Laundry Soap today.. I have been wanting to do it for awhile but just ran out of my stock of laundry soap... I thought it was going to be a pain and not really worth it... I have already done 3 loads and I am really liking the results... My husband is a industrial mechanic and his socks actually look great.. Being that it is working so well I decided to share it with yall... FYI! It was very very very easy to make and very quick.. It is was very cheap tomake and will last about 6 months... You only use 1tbsp per wash, unless you have a really bad load or a really full load... This went over so well I have decided that I will be making fabric softener, dishwasher liquid and hand soap tomorrow or this weekend.. Bailey and I ate at the SushiPop today.. We have been eying it for sometime.. We tried a few things from the different categories.. We got a "spider" roll, and a big Texas roll for our sushi portion (both from 2 different parts of the menu). We tried the Miso soup, and steamed rice...The food was very good, prices were high in some places not high on other things.. You get a free frozen yogurt cone.. We both enjoyed it!
